It was the last day of June in Yellow Springs, Ohio. The weather was warm, sunny, and a bit unpredictable as midwestern summers tend to be. Yet every storm cloud seemed to roll over without a single raindrop. And inside Mill’s Park Hotel, the staff was preparing for a wedding celebration. The banquet room was decorated with bright florals, the kitchen was preparing the dinner, and the wedding ceremony chairs were moved inside. I met up with Rachel in her bridal suite. She was surrounded by her favorite ladies, all dressed in beautiful pastel colors- almost matching the flowers in her bouquet. It was a beautiful fresh arrangement of blooms from a local seasonal flower farm/florist. Soon after, Brandon made his way up to the room (straight out to the balcony while we had Rachel tucked away). And as he turned around to face Rachel for his first look, Brandon’s eyes lit up brighter than her beautiful silk dress. Their day had finally arrived. And they had a lovely gathering of friends and family to help them celebrate.
