Last week I had the opportunity to spend an afternoon with a hard working Realtor, Mother of four, and complete boss babe at her ReMax office at the Greene in Beavercreek, Ohio. As she was taking calls from clients while being photographed and responding to emails (while being photographed) she effortlessly flowed between tasks with ease. And while all of this activity would seem somewhat overwhelming to a normal person, she almost seemed to revel in it.
Licensed in 2010, after many years of dreaming becoming a Realtor and trying several other outlets, including accounting, auditing, and even writing for an online newspaper, nothing blended her passions of creativity, people, daily challenges and unlimited potential. A second generation Realtor, her mom had her assisting with her in the 90’s learning the ropes. When I asked her why she got into Real Estate she replied
“I really get my hands dirty making what in many cases could be a stressful situation enjoyable and exciting. Because buying and selling real estate is something most consumers only dive into a few times during their lives-likely involving the highest monetary amounts-I consider it an honor to assist along the way on such an important part of life. Helping people find their home no matter the circumstances is truly my passion.”
Balancing work life with her life as a busy blended family momma is a work in progress. As any mom can attest, carving out self-care time first thing in the morning before anyone else is awake is key to the overall mental health of their home. With four active daughters, a busy Veteran husband and this chaotic career, she could not be happier fulfilling this role in life. And as far as I could tell, she seems to be completely game for any new challenges that come her way.
