Welcome to the World, RJ

On September 17th at 12:33 pm, Robert Jensen arrived into this world to the absolute delight of his Mother, Father, and big brother John Ruben. He was 6.8 ounces and 19.25 inches and had a head full of soft black hair. His two dogs, Guinness and Newcastle were thrilled to meet the newest addition to the family and so far big brother thoroughly enjoys holding and talking to him.

After the New Year, RJ’s Dad will finally be able to hold and talk to him too. As a contracting officer, he is currently deployed on a 6 month tour to Iraq. RJ’s parents met in the ROTC program at the University of New Hampshire and as a second generation military family, are no strangers to the nature of military life. But that doesn’t make it any easier. That was one reason why Robert Jensen’s Momma wanted to get these Newborn Photos as she wrote how “these will be quite important while we wait his return”.

So little RJ, your Dad is going to be here before you know it. And in the meantime, you are so very lucky to have such an amazing Mom and adoring big Brother. These next few months will be a little blurry with frequent naps and Momma cuddles. Know that your Dad thinks about you every day. Know that we are all so grateful for those who serve, like your Mom and your Dad. And most important, welcome to the world little one.
